The president of Guild, Julie Socash, asserts that Jon’s plethora of characters in numerous films have played a vital role in enlightening makeup artists and hairstylists throughout the country. This award is “an attempt of appreciation of Jon’s inevitable contributions.”
“To produce highly influential characters, Jon has inevitably collaborated with as many as 800 makeup artists and hairstylists,” says the president of Guild. She goes on to say, “we are thrilled and extremely delighted to present this year’s Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylist Guild Award to Favreau.” Furthermore, the archetype of artists in feature films further confessed that “no one could better deserve this year’s artisan award than Jon - as he holds an utmost respect and unwavering popularity among makeup artists throughout the world.”
However, it is pertinent to mention here that Jon's thrilling, exotic, and jaw-dropping characters owe a fair share to makeup artists and hairstylists. His caricatures and amusing characters could not have been possible without the artistic touch of these Behind the Scene artists.
