1999: The end of a millennium, a close-up of the four sisters, and our first look at the signs of aging time has left on them all. From the crow’s feet beside Bebe’s eyes to the lines on Mimi’s forehead, we are reminded that, though the images are motionless, time is taking the sisters with them still.
The young ladies we met at the beginning of all this are now middle-aged women. The sisters are crowded behind Bebe in the picture in what seems to be a show of support, while she exhibits the whites of her hair with pride.
