Portrait #43: The Browns Have Skipped To 2017
What has been years in the making for them has only been a few minutes for us. Seeing them grow together for over two decades is an experience that cannot be expressed in words and should not be trivialized by the attempt. Nixon hasn’t stopped capturing the sisters together even after 40 portraits, and his work has been exhibited in galleries and museums globally.
The Browns continue to live content and private lives, giving us glimpses into them with the photographs that Nixon shares with the world. The project may live on for as long as all five of the participants do.
