Lori Singer’s father used to be a conductor of the Oregon Symphony, and Singer started playing the cello from a very young age. She performed with the Symphony when she was just 13 years old, but she then decided to sign with Elite Model Management. Eventually, Singer chose to become an actress. She gained recognition when she started appearing on the TV series “Fame,” but her most notable role remains Ariel Moore in the classic film “Footloose.” Singer tried playing music again and performed as a solo artist at Carnegie Hall back in 2008. Her latest acting appearance was in the 2017 film “The Institute.”
