Snoop Dogg is an American rapper, songwriter, media personality, actor, and entrepreneur who rose to fame when featured on Dr. Dre’s debut solo single, Deep Cover. Since then, Dogg has sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide. As a boy, his parents gave him the nickname Snoopy because of his fondness for the cartoon character from Peanuts.
He married his high school girlfriend, Shante Taylor, in 1997. In 2004, he legally parted his ways from Taylor, citing irreconcilable differences; however, the couple renewed their wedding vows in 2008. They have three kids and are living happily with each other.
