Glynis Johns – Now 98 years old
Glynis Johns was born in the year 1923, in Pretoria, South Africa, to English parents. She is an accomplished actress who has entertained her admirers for decades. Glynis’s work on stage, screen, and television has earned her critical acclaim and awards. Interestingly, her father, Mervyn Johns, was a prominent stage and film actor.
In 1936, she played the lead in the Old Vic production of St. Helena. Glynis made her screen debut in 1938 in the movie version of Winifred Holby’s book South Riding. In addition to being fun and entertaining, she is also a talented musician with a beautiful voice. Johns provided the voice of “Grimwood ” in the Scooby-Doo TV movie.
