Carol Burnett – 89 Years
Carol Burnett, an impeccable actress, writer, and comedian, was born to parents Joseph and Ina on April 26, 1933. Her mother was a publicity writer, while her father ran a movie theater. Carol appeared in various university plays. She realized her innate musical talent and comedic timing with each performance.
Burnett departed for New York in 1954. She had a few gigs on local shows before getting her big break in 1955 on the well-known program The Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney Show. Although Burnett developed a sizable fan base through her television performances, it was her Broadway debut with Once Upon a Mattress that gave her the first award nomination.
