Michael York – Age 80

Michael York is a prominent English film, television, and stage actor who was raised in Burgess Hill, Sussex. Michael made his stage debut in the 1956 staging of The Yellow Jacket. He even made a fleeting appearance in the West End version of Hamlet three years later.

His performance as “D’Artagnan” in the 1973 cult classic movie The Three Musketeers is regarded as one of his finest performances. York was praised for his acting prowess, wit, and polished on-screen presence for the same film. In 1997, the Queen’s New Years Honors List recognized Michael with the coveted Officer of the Order of the British Empire award for his contributions to drama.
